Changes

 Hey Guys,

I appreciate all of you.

I opened my blog site January 2019 and published my first poem book February, 2019. It was midsummer of 2018 when I started this on going adventure in writing poems. My site has morphed many times during this time in separating the objectives of rhyming poetry encouragement and Christian living poetry and in changing of names of my site(s).  Currently will be forwarding my other site www.redemptiverhymes.com to this site shortly.  And will eventual change the name of this site. In addition, blooger.com is doing away with the email subscription link come June; just letting you be aware of this. Over the course of the last few years have wrote and published 7 poem books via Amazon, totaling 316 poems. I have now updated my latest published book in the Growing Strong in The Lord Poetry series to include the recent poems I posted here. It has been an adventure of a life time for me as I had learned how to format both paper back and eBook (still learning eBook) for publishing. In addition, I have learned a great deal about myself, some good, some bad, this too had been a huge eye opener. I believe my journey here in this world is far from over, my life thus far had been a challenge, a struggle, and some heartbreaking moments as well as many wonderful blessings along the way. In addition, I know God is not finished with developing my spirit being. I have yet, many, many things to learn as a Christian. This is a spiritual journey with our Lord I believe never ends while here in this world. However, my adventure in writing and publishing poem books in this season of my life has come to a close. It's been amazing having you all as an audience for both the good and the bad times. I do greatly appreciate you all's attentiveness to my poem writing adventure. Now I'm on to a new writing adventure; which I will announce when the time is right. Meanwhile, I may on occasion post a poem that will not be in any book and post encouraging Bible quotes and pictures of encouragement.

Thanks for the Love guys!

Opportunity

Opportunity for Passion in Christ

Forget not what He sacrificed
Let the warmth grow in your heart as
Opportunity for passion in Christ

For to salvation our soul, He was priced
With His life freedom ours He says
Forget not what He sacrificed

In pain at death His love for us sufficed
Now our soul with Him inside has
Opportunity for passion in Christ

As unmarried hope in this does increase
Where distractions this world is less
With focus on Him to never cease

As a couple, Christ first to this less stress
When one's time as single was spent with Him
For in that time one's soul greatly bless

When to singleness things seem grim
Forget not what He sacrificed
In this season, one learns to sing this hymn
Opportunity for passion in Christ

Thoughts: Being single is not defeat, rather an opportunity that once attached to another somewhat diminishes. It's an opportunity to grow in passion for Christ as one is allowed more time to do so. Time that will decrease once attached to another. "But I want you to be without care. He who is unmarried cares for things of the Lord. But he who is married cares about things of the world---how he may please his wife" (1 Corinthians 7:32-33. NKJV). That's not to say a married couple cannot have as much passion for Christ, individually, as a single person. Only that a single person has more opportunity as single to grow in Christ as more time allows. A married couple that puts Christ first, individually, then as a married couple can develop just as much passion for Christ. Can you imagine how great the relationship and love of two people in a relationship that first developed passion for Christ, individually, and continue to do so in their relationship in putting Christ first? Please don't look at needing another person to complete you, as only Christ can do that. Rather try to get an understanding that singleness is an opportunity for passion in Christ!

A Poem of thought

 Reckless Wavier

When pleasures this world one does savor
One's being then does this earth mesh
In the Lord one learns reckless wavier

As with Him one is given favor
One then can abandon calls of the flesh
When pleasures this world one does savor

Understanding of Him as one's savior
Gives one strength to adjust desires afresh
In the Lord one learns reckless wavier

To the things this world that makes one stray
Staying focused on God this a must
In learning to these things to put away

Even when to everyone these things do lust
As worldwide it seems partaking the norm
Strength to deny the flesh in God one trust

To the ways of the world one need not conform
When pleasures of the world one does savor
He can to your heart and mind transform
In the Lord one learns reckless wavier

Thoughts: Being God's kid can be very fulfilling; especially when one learns to abandon the things that ties one to this world. In addition, a women is not born a women, she becomes a women when she becomes what God wants her to be and that does include reckless abandonment or wavier of things in this world that distracts her from fulfillment of what God wants her to be. That goes for all His kids. Abandon or wavier of the things of this world that would bring some pleasure in a worldly sense, but not in a spiritual sense to one's soul; to some this can be seen as reckless. "Insomuch as these people draw near with their lips, But have removed their hearts far from Me, And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men" (Isiah 29:13. NKJV). We need a life in a relationship with Jesus, rather than in rituals of men. Consider Ruth in the Bible who left all she knew and her kinsfolk to follow a God she barely knew and became a servant to the Lord in comforting an elderly women in need of her. Who later in her abandonment of worldly pleasure and of rituals of men, married a very honorable man of God which was the grandfather of King David, thus brought the linage of Jesus into fruition because of her abandonment to the world as she knew in her time and her land; reckless wavier. As Matthew 19: 29 says, "And everyone who has left houses, or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life". Not saying we should leave our loved one's only that we should put away and leave the things of this world that brings fleshly desires and not spiritual growth. Although being a kid of God does have abundant rewards, sometimes it requires us to say no to fleshly desires and abandon what seems the norm of the world in learning to be a Christian of reckless wavier.

A Re-post Poem

In reminiscing over some of my past poems, this one touched my heart. It is in "My Form Created' poem book. It gives me strength as I put my trust in the Lord knowing with Him my future is secure and bright. He gives me joy in my time of waiting as I know, no matter, trust in Him the wait is well worth the outcome. Am ecstatic in my time with Him now and in what awaits in my future. Gladly waiting is His love and blessings as He prepares me for an awesome future; this I do for Him.

This is for You

I know You see what all I do
On some things I greatly need Your guidance
But in patience I wait, this is for You

In reading Your words my life become new
Then I'm reminded Lord, to You my alliance
I know You see what all I do

Times of past to my life You knew
The struggle that grew my self-confidence
Giving patience, I wait, this is for You

Although life sometimes had not been kind
It's to You I owe my very existence
As my soul to You becomes align

Now to You I rely in assistance
When in this life Your word sang out to me
No longer giving into resistance

To Your words I'm devoted what I read
As I know You see what all I do
For to Your words I am set free
As I patiently wait, this is for You

Thoughts: God Lord has done so very much for us. Have you ever talked to the Lord asking what you can you do for Him, as You Lord have done so much for me? I have! Have learned that following His word and living life to His will as best I can, is what I can do for Him. "Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepard of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen" (Hebrews 13:20-21. NKJV). We all are sinners, but that does not mean we have to linger in sin. Some things are hard to give up that's not pleasing in His sight; but it is our responsibility to try, in His will, to live life as close to His will as we can. To read and study His word and wait for Him to work in our lives. "I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope" (Psalms 130:5. NKJV). In patiently waiting, have learned in His word I have hope, reading and studying His word, this is for You Lord.

You complete me, Lord!

You Complete Me

I was blind, but You by my side I see
In this world seemed a piece of me missing
To You Lord I can say, You complete me

Even when to material things no plea
Fullness to my soul these things dismissing
I was blind, but You by my side I see

For in the pain of woes this world set free
To my past You forgiven in kissing
To You Lord I can say, You complete me

For Your embrace unlike any other
When into Your arms I fell in grace
You I belong, not seeking another

In You Lord I finally found my place
As in this world my being was lost
For in Your love my heart now does embrace

When to and froe my heart was tossed
I was blind, but You by my side I see
For in brokenness my heart You crossed
To You Lord I can say, You complete me
      ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: We reach for completeness in that whole in our hearts in many ways, such as: a career, a marriage, a significant other in our lives,  material things, or even motherhood or fatherhood. But these things by themselves is not enough to totally satisfy one. God knows our completeness comes in a relationship with Jesus Christ. We will always be a work in progress, but in being complete one learns that emptiness inside is filled through a relationship with Jesus and in dwelling in His love. I can now say, Lord You complete me.

Shine for The Lord

Shine

When one's being to this world is confine

The light inside can become dull

Making one's soul seem mostly null

The Lord can help one's soul bright as sunshine

If only one to Him believes He will

Give one a heart of love making one fine

As to this love one was design

Where the woes of the world become null

One's soul in love with Him is define

Shinning bright the world to see in lull

No longer one's soul to this world dull

As God bestow His love to shine devine
