A Tervillazanelle Poem for The Season

  Christmas of Strange

This year Christmas season has change
Due this ongoing virus event
Making for us a Christmas of strange

Barely seeing any bright lights arrange
As people's spirit is past bent
For this year Christmas season has change

We've had a year of life rearrange
Now hard in this season to be content
Making for us a Christmas of strange

Some do forget what Christmas represents
For it's not about gifts nor the displays
But the birth of Christ that Christmas presents

It's to this our spirit should be ablaze
No matter how strange this world gets
As we try to open our hearts to praise

This season we observe as life permits
Although this year Christmas season has change
The spirit of Christmas Joy He transmits
In making for us a Christmas not strange

Thoughts: "Then the angle said to them, Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring good tidings of great joy will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angle a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" (Luke 2:10-14. NKJV).

Merry Christmas and Be safe!

A Poem For Thought

  Everything Good

This I've known and do understand
It's not a mystery, nor hard to know
Most times It's to the Lord of everything good

And to this give thought, if one would
Sometimes satan makes good to his will show
This I've known and do understand

One needs to pay attention as one should
To the circumstances that are bestow
Most times it's to the Lord of everything good

But to good give praise where praise deserved
As one should know satan is full of tricks
And to trickery no praise be served

If with good the Lord is in the mix
It's clear then to Him is praise to be
For in these times righteousness depicts

Good not always clear to what you see
This I've always known and understood
When good is from above one can agree
These times it's to the Lord of everything good
      ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: Many times when good happens we can misunderstand to where it came. I know I have at times. I have and are learning to be careful to whom giving thanks when good happens and do try to understand the circumstances of the event. For instance; winning the lottery. Well, that's gambling, not very Christian like. To say Thank You Lord, I believe would be a miscalculation. Why would the Lord approve or give one a winning ticket when let's face it, that's gambling? Again, Not Christian Like! Good does not always come from the Lord. Satan is a master at trickery and will even influence one into thinking his or her actions of wrong are okay by creating something good to come out of it just to trick one into continuing the wrongful act. Most good is from the Lord, because He is good. Just be aware of the circumstances and know the Lord is the creator of good, but in this world devilish influence can change to bad everything good.

A Poem For Thought

What's Important

Life; existence of endorsement
Living in position of reference
Significance of what's important

Self; life taking it's own warrant
Placing one's existence in reverence
Life; existence of endorsement

Others; your purpose absorbent
Extension of what is held of preference
Significance of what's important

Time; something that becomes out lived
When spent to that insignificant
One's duration vitally deprived

Important; of being significant
Where to life one gives of self
As others enter as a participant

Middle; togetherness being our-self
Life; existence of endorsement
Where to this becomes it-self
Significance to what's important
      ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: Mine to yours, yours to mine. Give and take when vitally needed; but, the middle is where life meets the significance to what's important.

New "My Form Created" Poem

This is for You

I know you see what all I do
On some things I greatly need your guidance
But in patience I wait, this is for you

In reading your words my life become new
Then I'm reminded Lord, to you my alliance
I know you see what all I do

Times of past to my life you knew
The struggle that grew my self-confidence
Giving patience, I wait, this is for you

Although life sometimes had not been kind
It's to you I owe my very existence
As my soul to you becomes align

Now to you I rely in assistance
When in this life you word sang out to me
No longer giving into resistance

To your words I'm devoted what I read
As I know you see what all I do
For to your words I am set free
As I patiently wait, this is for you
      ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: God Lord has done so very much for us. Have you ever talked to the Lord asking what you can you do for Him, as you Lord have done so much for me? I have! Have learned that following His word and living life to His will as best I can, is what I can do for Him. "Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepard of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen" (Hebrews 13:20-21. NKJV). We all are sinners, but that does not mean we have to linger in sin. Some things are hard to give up that's not pleasing in His sight; but it is our responsibility to try, in His will, to live life as close to His will as we can. To read and study His word and wait for Him to work in our lives. "I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, And in His word I do hope" (Psalms 130:5. NKJV). In patiently waiting, have learned in His word I have hope, reading and studying His word, this is for you Lord.

New “My Form Created" Poem - Standing by His Word

Standing by His Word

His teaching is the authority heard
As the only one I do trust
Thus to this I'm standing by His word

When direction does become blurred
In clearing my path His word I entrust
As His teaching is the authority heard

For in this world God's guidance preferred
Knowing that His is greatly just
Thus to this I'm standing by His word

His jurisdiction is where it began
As He spoke this place was made
And to it's end He has a plan

To my salvation His word is laid
I only need to learn of His teaching
Even when in this world I have strayed

For His word is greatly far reaching
His teaching is the authority heard
To my soul His directives beseeching
Thus to this I'm standing by His word
      ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: God's word is the standing authority of this world He created. In good times and hard times His teaching brought by Himself and through His son is the teaching I trust. "For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father told Me, so I speak" (John 12:49-50. NKJV). We all stand on some kind of authority, even if our own. But, God is the soul authority; thus, I am standing by His word.

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

We love our family and friends, but spending Thanksgiving with them may make you want to unpack your boxing gloves as sometimes they can bring out the worse in us. No matter what the Thanksgiving situation, there probably will be some moments that you need to carefully navigate through. It's best to adopt the advice of Proverbs 21:23:

"Whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles" (NKJV)

Happy Thanksgiving Day!

“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful” (Colossians 3:15. NKJV)

New "My Form Created" Poem

A Hymn of Praise

Everywhere seen your love and care conveys
The beauty you gave for our enjoyment
You are deserving of a hymn of praise

Birds fly in migration as the wind sways
Crisp fresh air to my lungs your achievement
Everywhere seen your love and care conveys

Flower petals close and bloom in phase
Intricate sites shown in refinement
You are deserving of a hymn of praise

Deers freeze poses of graceful beauty seen
Foxes slip through shadows of the night
Giving thought creation seen and unseen

Laughing children , innocence shinning bright
Parents care remind us of your love
With you we can rest in peace at night

As I awake this world, you I think of
Everywhere seen your love and care conveys
Beauty you sent to us Lord from above
You are deserving of a hymn of praise
    ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts"Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy--meditate on these things" (Philippians 4:8.NKJV). This verse, as other verses in the Bible, can have more than one meaning. This one can also mean cleaning up of one's mind; but, additionally can  mean to think of the Lord in everyday life in what He does and has done for us, His children. To meditate on Him day and night. The Lord is truth, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. Definitely, virtuous and deserving of a hymn of praise.

New "My Form Created: Poem - My Way Back Home

 My Way Back Home

No matter where my steps did roam
I've always felt your presence there
In helping me find my way back home

For the bad roads I've traveled through some
You've helped me be able to bear
No matter where my steps did roam

Upon my head you gave a spiritual dome
That lead my steps down a path of aware
In helping me find my way back home

Although in my past darts where thrown
You my Lord guided them off my path
Those moments making clear your presence know

My life had seemed to be on a warpath
As to the struggle I endured was long
But in this you stirred me clear of wrath

And now my life with you is strong
No matter where my steps do roam
It's crystal clear with you I belong
Thank you in guiding my way back home
    ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: Looking back on my life I see the many times the Lord intervened making sure I knew if not for Him I would not have made it through. To me, it's obvious the Lord was looking over me, even when I did not know and/or disobeyed. In knowing this, I realize it's Him that really cares about me and with Him I belong. With the Lord is where my home resides and I thank Him for showing His presence throughout my life in finding my way back home.

New "My Form Created" Poem

 Soul Rewards

I've often wondered what I work towards
In obeying what His word commands
Now it's clear to me, it's for soul rewards

For in my actions each day He records
To this I pray I be where He planned
As I've often wondered what I work towards

I do know faithfulness He awards
In this my being greatly stands
As it's clear to me, it's for soul rewards

To my obedience and trust in Him
I believe this work is pleasing my soul
As to joy my being sings a hymn

This deep down reward has become my goal
Wondering how I functioned without
As this feeling does make my being whole

When in life others questioned what it's about
I've often wondered what I work towards
But now my soul praises Him with a shout
As it clear to me, it's for soul rewards
    ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: In life we are in a race to the end. Some will make it and some will drop out before even getting close to the finish line. The end in obeying and having faith in the Lord will be greatly rewarded. Our soul will shine in right-....-ness with a brand new body. "Do you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified" (1 Corinthians 9:24-27. NKJV).  It's kind of like: Do what you preach or walk what you talk. What good is it to talk or preach something yet one doesn't do it. Even when it seems your at a holt or not moving forward in your obedience and faithfulness towards the Lord, He knows and sees you. Moreover, your being is maturing and shinning more and more in soul rewards.

New "My Form Created" Poem - The Lord Had Other Plans

The Lord Had Other Plans

I know how far reaching He spans
That time is sometimes what is needed
When to my life the Lord had other plans

As to the situation I'd clasp my hands
Down on my knees as I pleaded
For I know how far reaching He spans

To His plan my life fell, not man's
As man's plans to my life growth receded
When to my life the Lord had other plans

Now that time has taken it's past
I see why to man's plan my life did suffer
As growth in sufferance His plans recast

Although at times life did get rougher
When to His plans I knew to obey
But to this my being became tougher

At last I understand His ways
Now I know how far reaching He spans
Time and space to my life He gave array
When to my life the Lord had other plans
    ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: You know, this one touches on a personal note. Sometimes waiting on the Lord can be difficult; especial when waiting for something or someone you've waited for an extended amount of time. But if it is truly of the Lord to have what you've waited for one must learn if it is yours to have He will eventually grant it to you in His timing; not yours. Trying to force something to happen in your own timing never works out well. Too, being faithful and devoted to the Lord means to allow Him to work things out in His own timing and to know the Lord may have others plans for your life; must better plans. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11. NKJV). I've learned this the hard way and know now for my life the lord has other plans that I can't wait to see; but, I will wait for the plans He has for my life. Wonderful Plans!

"My Form Created" Poem - I'm Still Here

  I'm Still Here

There's no sense in living life in fear
As no matter to what is going on
For to this the Lord say's I'm still here

Not only He seeing but to you He does hear
As to your calling He is greatly drawn
Thus, there's no sense in living life in fear

To Him your life He does endear
When He created you He was there upon
And to this the Lord say's I'm still here

Many do come and go in your life
Sometimes leaving you broken hearted
Causing deep down inside great strife

But to your life He never departed
He's been waiting on you your whole life long
Giving you grace sense your life started

As you realize to Him you belong
Then there's no sense in living life in fear
Even when for you things do go wrong
For to this the Lord say's I'm still here
    ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: Friends do come and go in one's life. And, so called, friends can leave one's life in turmoil. Many times the situation isn't even one's fault. Or maybe one has lost a friend because of . But, there is  friend that will never hurt you or leave you no matter what; that friend, Jesus Christ. And, He holds no blame for your mistakes. "....I will never leave you nor forsake you" So we may boldly say: " The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" (Hebrews 13: 5-6. NKJV). Even when there is no one else, the Lord will always be there for you. "...., and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of age" (Matthew 28:20. NKJV). So remember, the next time you feel alone or discouraged in this world. the Lord say's I'm still here.
