Work-Place Politics
Some things just can't be fix
It's everywhere and getting worse
It's called work-place politics
As in some churches, at work there's clicks
Where those alike do greatly converse
As some things just can't be fix
No matter, there's always favorite picks
While others treated greatly adverse
We call it work-place politics
One wonders why your in this place
And realize to this your spirit grows
As the Lord in you shines with grace
For of your struggle He greatly knows
And for some reason He has you there
You pray as His strength to you bestows
Though the treatment doesn't seem fair
Some things you just can't fix
But with the Lord, He helps you bare
To be this place of work-place politics

Thoughts: There's always workplace politics no matter where you work or what your job is. Favorites are always played, while other get treated otherwise. Some get higher pay, get special privileges, and others treated as insignificant. Work performance should matter, but today, it seems to be more about conformity. Either you go along with or you get treated badly. Being a Christian in a place where you may be the only one, or the only one taking your belief seriously and not conforming to the ways of others that promote worldly cause is hard. But one should never give up your faith because of work place politics. It may be that the Lord has you in a dark workplace to be a light. Or/and, it may be He has you there for a test or as a lesson in spiritual growth that would benefit you and others. Pray, He will give you strength, show you your purpose for being there, and know you are there for a reason in this place of work-place politics.

Fruit of The Spirit: Self-Control
Self-Control is so hard to obtain in a "Me" society of today where people so quickly get angry. As we fight for self-control, may these articles help.

Quote Revised to Rhyme
"Writers sometimes may not have good math skills.
But, applying it in real life events, in their defense,
That's where their math aptitude greatly instills.
This math application is called Common Sense!"
©Doris Elaine
Thought: Same thought as before; just quoting as rhyme. Reiterating; most writers-Novelist, Short Story Writers, and Poets-among many writers-may not have good math skills; but, many writers have a great deal of Common Sense.

Quote and Thought
“Don’t have good math skills, but can take that application and apply it to real life events pretty good. I call that Common Sense. And, most writers do have plenty of that”
Thought: It’s true. Can’t add and subtract good at all. Most times have to use calculator to ensure accuracy. But, something like knowing the right choices to make in life to save money or making cost effective choices is simply Common Sense. Some novelist, some short story writers, and some poets are among many writers that don’t hold very good math skill, but have a great deal of Common Sense. Just saying!

A Poem of Thought
Pressing on With Hope
Sometimes in life it’s really hard to cope
In the Lord one given no more than can bare
So one presses on in Him with hope
At times it seems your on a tightrope
To one side or the other you may err
Because in life it’s really hard to cope
Looking at past times under a microscope
Due His grace to you bowing in prayer
As one presses on in Him with hope
Realizing to your life He never said nope
He being the one that really does care
Cause in life it can really be hard to cope
No need with Him to sit and mope
With the Lord your future an heir
As one presses on with Him in hope
In His presence one just wants to elope
Because in His word one becomes aware
When it seems in life really hard to cope
That’s when one presses on in Him with Hope
©Doris Elaine
Thoughts: In life’s journey Hope sometimes is all we have or what we need most to get through. It amazes me how knowing the Lord through reading and learning His word gives one unmeasurable Hope. Read Romans 5:1-5. I started this adventure towards writing Christian poetry through a very heartfelt experience via the social media in Hopes of touching one special and particular person’s heart. At the time that, in the beginning, was all it was about. How my Hope has grown into so much more. I was not and still am not seeking glory nor fame. All I have done, am not smart enough to have done on my own accord. I give the Lord all the glory in giving me Hope to press on into my call in life. “I press towards the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14). Now my Hope, that although life at times seems hard to cope, being number one to finally reach my destination with Him and number two to reach as many hearts as possible through His grace and bring with me as many special people as the Lord anoints me to do so. Although my audience is small, my Hope in the beginning was to reach one special heart, am pleased and grateful for the more than one special heart my poetry reaches; thus, amazing Hope.
