It Only Takes One

It Only Takes One

When in life one friend is better than none
With one you know to life you are okay
As in realizing it only takes one

Although rough when the bonding begun
You are both still together to this day
When in life one friend is better than none

For it seems fulfillment in life is done
When to this the Lord you did pray
As in realizing it only takes one

The one lifts you with words of hope
Making life bearable when it seems hard
Giving you strength in life to cope

This care can sometimes catch you off guard
As you thought no one even cared
Especially when life has left you marred

Thankful to God the day you became paired
When in life one friend is better than none
For in life your loving care is then shared
As in realizing it only takes one

Thoughts: Sometimes one friend is all one may need in life to lift one up when one has none. Sure, one can have family or relatives that care; but, it is not the same as a friend outside of this care. And, some people have no one that cares. It's hard to share care and love when one is not receiving it themselves from a true and dear friend. Be a friend to someone and share the care and love as sometimes, it only takes one!

God Is Love

Without Love, I am nothing!

"Though I speak with the tongues of man and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing." (1 Corinthians 13:1-3. NKJV).

Love Never Fails!

"Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." (1 Corinthians 13: 4-7. NKJV).

Spread The Love!

Now I Fight To His Glory

Now I Fight To His Glory

As the Lord edited Our story
He showed me the nature of my purpose
And now I fight to His glory

Moving closer to His territory
In His care I need not fear
As the Lord edited Our story

Although hard in this reformatory
I give in and do shed a tear
And now I fight to His glory

When in His care my being viewed
He does act on Our behalf knowing
It's to His glory where change is spewed

I then submit to this knowledge bestowing
More tears in realizing in Him I trust
As I know my faith is now growing

To this revelation I know a must
As the Lord edited Our story
My being now wakes to this being just
In faith now I fight to His glory

Thoughts: As Christians we are contentiously in growth. And sometimes this growth can be very painful as God trims and prunes us for His purpose. We must have faith in Him alone to survive this world and know He will generate this faith; sometimes in the most unexpected and awesome ways. With me, I thought I needed friends and a mate to be whole. But the Lord recently gave me the knowing that my wholeness does not lay in mankind; but, rather faith in Him alone. Don't take me wrong, I do not dislike people nor do I think people just cannot be trusted; however, due recent events my faith in people has been affected in proving this to be faulty; whereas, faith in God and belief in His Son is never faulty. My eyes have been opened in a very painful, but a just and necessary way, in building my faith in Him alone. "For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, The just shall live by faith." (Romans 1:17. NKJV). Don't know God's purpose in the way He has intervened in my life to build my faith in Him alone, only know my purpose now is to live in this faith as my fight to His glory.

A Poem of and for Thought

Because I Refuse To Blend

When in this world the norm is to pretend
I ask the Lord to guide me through
Give me strength because I refuse to blend

To others I do not mean to offend
When I refuse to conform to other's view
When in this world the norm is to pretend

For it's to You Lord I do depend
As in my commitment to You I grew
Give me strength because I refuse to blend

Sometimes in this world I do weaken
When I see everyone following the flow
Then Your guidance shines bright as a beacon

In following You instead I know
My soul leaps with excitement in gains
As my being then guided and grows

Sometimes this world gives emotional strains
When in this world the norm is to pretend
Thankful the Lord saves me from these pains
He gives me strength because I refuse to blend

Thoughts: In a world where it seems everyone else is doing something it can be hard when it's not your way of being. When your way is to not go with the flow of what everyone else is doing. Such as: wearing inappropriate clothing, cussing, making fun of others, doing drugs, drinking alcohol, gossiping about others...the list goes on and on. Just because these things seem the norm and are accepted of our world today does not mean we should follow the crowd, so to say. As Christians, we are set apart and should not feel we have to pretend just to blend in. "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God". (Romans 12:2. NKJV). It can sometimes seem in being yourself, you don't fit in and/or are awkward. And, some people who do go with the flow or do blend in just don't understand you. It's okay to not pretend to be someone or something your not just to blend in. I follow God as I know He accepts me as I am, no matter, what the world thinks of me. Sometimes, too, one may get the feeling that no one will ever accept you as you are; but, believe me God does and He will eventually bring people, true friends, your way that will accept as you are where you do not have to try and blend in. I myself have a hard time in connecting with others as I get nervous and awkward, simply because I am not a social butterfly and I refuse to put myself out there socially just to become comfortable and experienced at something that is not me just because it seems everyone in the world is doing it when that would be pretending to be someone or something I'm not. If not accepted by others as I am, I refuse to follow the crowd just to blend in. This blog site is about as social as I know how and are okay to get as I know the Lord understands my being and will help me in my awkwardness in social interaction.  That's just me not pretending because I refuse to blend.
