A re-post Poem-Romance Vs. Love

Here a poem from my poem book "I Am Sowed, By God's Words", the I am sowed collection, part one. It is a Noet poem form (called Nonet, now-a-days) This poem form was introduced in my book "The Rhyme It Out Project! Part One". You will see my thoughts at the time of writing the poem.

In today's "ME" society, it is easy to get romance and love confused. I know I am still working on the difference in the two myself. However, have learned there is a difference in the two. Romance is not love and is very temporary; while, love stands the test of time. And, real love is not sex. It took great love of my children to endure raising them as a single mother through all the struggles we went through and I never gave up, nor gave them away; that's one form of true love. And, through much heartache have learned the greatest of all love is the Love of Jesus Christ; which does and will endure beyond time, into eternity. Love does endure the test of time, while romance is temporary.

Romance Vs. Love

There is a difference, romance vs. love
Where love does endure the span of time
Romance fly's away as a dove
Our world making this our climb
But temporary thereof
Love last a lifetime
Romance vs. love
Love is prime

Thoughts: Although still learning and in no way claiming to be an expert; but, from my own experiences and talking to others, romance the world does provide and love the Lord does provide. While romance is temporal, love endures, is eternal and given from above. "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." (1 Co. 13:13, NKJV). Thus, romance gives temporary moments, where love endures beyond time and in most cases through many circumstances. All of Corinthians 13 tells us a great deal of what love is (vs. 4-6), and to meant to be; please read. Love being the greatest gift God gave and gives us.

A book suggestion for Christians

Sometimes we can struggle with how to be Christ like; especially in today's society. I know I do every single day. I ran across this book while watching Bible Talk with Mike Mazzalongo; which is another resource to help Christians. It is hard, but we must still try and fight the good fight as was wrote in 2 Timothy, "For I am already being poured out as drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord; the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing." (4:6-8. NKJV). Hopefully this book, outside of reading God's word, will give some guidance to helping to be Christ like. It is sold on Amazon, see link below:

Christ Like

Simplify to be Christ Like

One's mind clutter can cause much dislike
When in today's world fast be the pace
But it can be simple to be Christ like

Uncluttering may take change lifelike
Examining what's allowed in one's space
As one's mind cutter can cause much dislike

Simplifying gives evil a strike
Giving focus to God in its place
As it can be simple to be Christ like

Less clutter means more room for Christ
To be in one's life and in one's mind
For to God's glory He was sacrificed

So to the clutter examine and find
What needs decluttering to make right
In worshipping Him one's focus aligned

When to one's mind focus becomes a fight
As one's mind clutter can cause much dislike
Take action in life against this plight
Know it can be simple to be Christ like

Thoughts: In our fast paced world today there are so many things that can clutter our minds and lives in taking away our focus and worship on God. Things such as: Who we associate with, owing more than our pay, saying yes to too many things, thinking technology is the answer in our lives, not getting enough rest and or not planning leisure time, and having no time in savoring and enjoying life; just to name some. Am sure there are more I did not name. When one 's mind and life is cluttered with unnecessary activity it does not allow much room for giving glory to God. Christ glorified God with His very life. It is our destiny to try in becoming more like Christ. Roman's 8:29 reads "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren."  We were created to become Christ like and that includes worshiping Him and focusing our minds on Him. In examining areas of our lives that takes away from being able to do this, we can make necessary changes towards being more Christ like. Of course, we could never ever be like Christ; but, we must try to declutter our minds and life towards simplification in being able to; because it can be simple to be Christ like.

A Poem and Thoughts

 When Your Drive Does Change

Most times in life things do rearrange
Causing one's foothold to miss and slip
When in your life your drive does change

Your goal has taken on that of strange
For what once was now hard to grip
Most times in life things do rearrange

To this your thoughts you learn to exchange
Giving new reasoning to ownership
When in your life your drive does change

In this time of strange, God you rely on
For with Him He recalls your strength of past
When the drive in your life leaves and is gone

Especially when your life goes so fast
And then to that day you do realize
Your purpose in life to new it cast

As to new purpose your drive revise
For most times in life things do rearrange
Bur your purpose to God is no surprise
When in your life your drive does change
      ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: It seems with most people, there is something that drives one in life to keep going, even through the hard times. And when that thing (purpose) is gone, one may slip and find it hard to regain one's footing; thus, purpose for keep going. For example, take my experience as a single mother raising four children by myself.  Because of my love and devotion to them, no matter our situation, it was this love and devotion for them that kept me going, even through the hard times. That was my drive and my life. Then they all grew up, and my purpose to keep going, was all of the sudden, gone; thus, my drive in life had to change. At first, I was happy I was no longer responsible for them (other than occasionally helping them when I could and lending an ear). Then, I was lost saying "well, what do I do now". I no longer possessed a purpose; or at least, that's the way it seemed to me.  I needed something or someone to devote myself to in regaining my drive in life as it was the love and devotion to raising my children that keep me going. That's when, as circumstances in my life played out, I was brought back to my Christian roots and was led back to God. He gave me drive again; thus, purpose. Still my path seems a little slippery due this change in drive as I gain more and more understanding of my purpose now; but, at least now my drive is back, even thou it has changed.

Side Note: Someone recently told me, when I mentioned to them how hard a certain situation was (how heartbroken it left me), saying "You need to be tuff". If I could only tell that person, "You have no idea how tuff I have been and still are, only that my life has changed and I am still-somewhat- getting a grip on my drive in life". As Christians we are supposed to love someone enough to encourage one another and not laugh or make fun of someone when one is expressing concerns in something they are not used to or when one is experiencing a change in their life.

Being Human Poem

Being Human

Here our place this world be man and woman
Our creator gave us life of plenty
Thankful and grateful for being human

No matter your gender gave assuming
Happy your life that role meant He
Here our place this world be man and woman

To see, hear, taste, and touch in consuming
Here experiences of these many
Thankful and grateful for being human

For in spirit human state is lost
Which promises to this be better
As our Lord bought at His cost

To this our human life be a debtor
But was given in thought of free will
Our decision to live to His letter

Alive as human can be a thrill
Here our place this world be man and woman
To this the Lord gave us in goodwill
Thankful and grateful for being human

Thoughts: Although being human can be hard at times, it can also be a blessing. As human we can touch and feel, for the most part; and, can enjoy this of each other. Unlike, it will be once we transcend to our heavenly form. Don't take me wrong, as one speaking from personal experience, our heavenly form will be beyond imagination, wonderful, and of joy beyond measure. And the need of using our human senses we have here will be complete in a way unimaginable; much, much better. God gave us life to experience as humans. It's a wonderful thing to be able to partake in the human experience; but it want last long as we live here in this world towards our journey home to God in heaven. My feelings are I am thankful; and, my actions show (I hope) I am grateful to be here. While here there are experiences as human we want be able to have there in heaven. I don't know about others, but I am thankful and grateful for being human.

Don't be so focused on the destination that you forget to enjoy the journey!

Godly Woman by Andile Andy (Really like this Poem)

Godly Women by Andile Andy

A woman who walks in God's love.
Reflecting the beauty of the father above.
Who is not defeated by things most men find tough.
A woman whose not just a pretty face
But a woman of God's grace
Beholding God's face
A woman who lives knowing she's headed heaven in God's place.
A woman of good character, not better competence.
A woman who symbolizes the goodness of God by her excellence.
A woman who pray for her house, and other residence.
She walks with the Lord
shouting, pleading's how me the way oh God'.
I'm talking abhor a woman whose 'BAD'.
Baptized and delivered.
I'm talking about a woman whose 'MAD'
Magnificent and devoted.
I'm talking about the forever loved lovable leading ladies.
Who help us see the best in our daddies.
A woman whose blessed.
And knows that can never be reversed.
A woman who does not Drink,
But raises the bar.
A woman who prays to properly Think,
before making decisions that will put her away from God afar.
A woman of noble character like Ruth.
Who teaches her family that only God is the truth.
A woman who would ask God to tell satanic thoughts to get off her.
A woman who would never sacrifice faith by what the world has to offer.
A woman who conquers like how Ester conquered Haman.
A woman who makes the best out of a man.

I am talking about a Godly woman

 Desperate to end Waiting

In considering the act of mating
Slow is a blessing to God's best
Don't be so desperate to end waiting

Settling for thought can be negating
When attention given that expressed
In considering the act of mating

Attention in thought one then debating
Where contentment of heart God attest
Don't be so desperate to end waiting

Waiting can become a blessing
As one realizes it's to God be content
Because to one's heart He's addressing

Where to your waiting He sends one meant
Not in settling for second-best
In contentment your time is then spent

Knowing your heart He has assessed
In considering the act of mating
God fills you content better than the rest
Best not be desperate to end waiting
    ©Doris Elaine

Thoughts: Sometimes we can get anxious in ending our singleness in the waiting for a mate. And, sometimes this anxiety can lead to settling for second-best or worse as one is given attention by another. Also, some try to make this happen, when trying to acquire God's best, it's all in His timing; no need to do anything in trying. Waiting can be a blessings. "But those who wait on the Lord, They shall inherit the earth" (Psalm 37: 9b. NKJV). It is always a blessing to wait on the Lord's timing in any situation; but in particular if you want His best in a mate. "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him..." (Psalm 37: 7a. NKJV). I learned this, in what seemed like a life long lesson, as I took to the first that came along (well, they picked me). Settling for the first to give attention in my life lead to some disappointment and great discontentment in becoming a single mother; unfortunate lesson learned. Much wiser now, years, even decades later, I know now to wait. And, in waiting am very content in giving my heart to the Lord to protect and to give away to the right one; when and if that time comes, in His timing. Although, much older and up in age, I do not worry and refuse to live my life in discontentment in not having a mate, as the Lord my God is my best, for now and forever; if that's what He plans for me. I live in waiting for my future in His blessings in contentment and know the future He has for me is and will be a triumphant win. My joy/contentment is with the Lord. "You will show me the path of life; In your presence is fullness of joy; At your right hand are pleasures forevermore" (Psalm 16:11. NKJV).  And, in waiting He is my strength: "...for the joy of the Lord is your strength(Nehemiah 8:10. NKJV). Contentment in God gives joy and joy produces strength; strength in waiting. If you are a female in waiting, are you waiting on a Bozo (not worth giving of yourself ) or a Boaz (Read Book of Ruth Chapter 2 for Boaz qualities)? This also applies to males in waiting on a Ruth or a Proverbs 31 woman (Read Ruth & Proverbs 31 for these qualities in a woman)! A piece of advice: It's not good to settle for someone you think you might can change later once married; it doesn't always work like that; that's a mistake many make in dating. If these qualities aren't there before, or at least something he or she is seriously working towards (everyone is not always on the same level of spiritual maturity), then they want be there later. And, sometimes you are not where your spiritual maturity needs to be; you may need some spiritual growing to be ready for a mate. And that's okay. It's best to let God work His plan for you, and in you, in patience and in His joy. A note: In marring, one brings into the marriage what one practiced before the marriage. For instance; if one practiced abstaining from sex outside of marriage in respect to this as Christian morals, then one will be able or is more likely to be faithful in this in marriage because he or she has already learned how to control this human urge before marriage. Waiting can be a preparation period/season for God's best. It's always best to wait on God in His timing of giving His best; even if His best for you is to remain single. Meanwhile, try to learn to be content in living in the fullness of His blessings He has for you now and not be so desperate to end waiting.

Where is Your Source of Contentment and Joy?
The One True Source--Jesus Christ!

"These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full" (John 15:11. NKJV).

Waiting is a prerequisite for God's best!
